Welcome to Prairie View Elementary!

Welcome to Prairie View! I am so glad that you are here to learn with us.

Did you know that all of our students use iPads daily in their learning environment? Technology is integrated into all subject areas including the arts and physical education. iPads are one way that we differentiate instruction and meet the needs of all learners in our school.

Our students are engaged in learning academics AND growing socially. Scholars at Prairie View can participate in Recycling Club, Student Council, Math Bowl Team, Spell Bowl Team, Choir and a variety of sports and physical groups.

We LOVE Bobcat Club! Our after school program includes time for snack, homework help, iPad time, physical activity, and clubs like: Young Astronauts, Lego Architecture, Lego Robotics, Biomedical, IU Health, Technology Club, 4-H Club, Girls On The Run, and time to visit the Mobile Library.

Speaking of LEGO Robotics… LEGO League at Prairie View includes students and coaches working on solving a problem, making presentations, and programming their robot to compete with other elementary schools in our area. We are happy to announce that all three of our Lego Robotics Teams received awards at the First Annual District Lego Robotics Competition.

Our Community Volunteers help us learn and grow. We are very fortunate to have Junior Achievement at Prairie View. Students in grades K-5 participate in JA lessons and activities with local area volunteers. We are proud to have the community work with our school! Our PTO provides financial support and a bridge between home and school. Monthly activities for families provide fun and fellowship. We hope you will join us! In addition, many volunteers call Prairie View home. They support our students academically by tutoring and mentoring (before, during and after school).

WOW – There is something for everyone at Prairie View. Please come visit and learn more about why “Bobcats Are Out of This World”!
